This Ardmore single malt was distilled back in 2008, before it was whacked into a cask for the ensuing decade. Finally, in April 2019 the whisky was independently bottled by Mossburn for the Vintage Casks series, without colouring or chillfiltration.

Ardmore 10 Year Old 2008 – Vintage Casks (Mossburn) Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Salty bacon rises from the glass, with melted salted butter on fresh toast and a hint of milk chocolate.

Palate: Liquorice sweetness alongside vanilla sponge, candied ginger and toasted (if slightly burnt) fruitcake.

Finish: Roasted and salted almond with sourdough bread lingering on the finish.
