Description
Tasting at the Big Basin Tasting Room in Saratoga, CA. Medium ruby. Big fruit and acid but not jammy. Blackberry, raspberry, blueberry. Mineral petroleum finish.
A smell of untoasted oak, faint liquorice, jammy black fruits; black plum, blackcurrant that almost smell like candy, but more savoury. A less intense smell of tobacco. Tastes very fresh, fruity and some hints of red plum. You can feel some tannins and acidity with a full, oaky finish.
