THE FIRSTNEGRONI
Dating back toFlorencein 1919, the Negroni cocktail is said to have been created byFosco Scarselliin his bar, Café Casoni, after the renowned Count Camilo Negroni asked him to strengthen his favorite cocktail – the Americano – by replacing soda water witha splash of gin. Scarselli added anorange sliceas garnish, rather than the usual lemon twist, and from this moment on, the Negroni was born.
CAMPARI& SODA
The Campari & Soda was Davide Campari’s first memorable creation, and the way that he wanted Campari to be tasted by his Milanese clients. It has been served at the Camparino in Galleria, where it is known as Campari Seltz, since 1915, following the same iconic ritual.
