Offering at first a demure, sotto voce freshness, the 2019 Chardonnay’s volume rises into a chorus of baked apples, lemon curd, nutmeg, and vanilla. The freshness and harmony segue into flavors of Meyer lemon, crisp Gravenstein apple and freshly grated turmeric. The palate is weighty without being ponderous.
Hanna Chardonnay is a brilliant, straw-gold color, with aromas of white peach, lemon, apple blossom, allspice, and butter. Flavors are of juicy fresh pear, Rainer cherry, white peach, and lemon. The texture is mid-weight and seamless and it has a long, vibrant finish.
