Sensory :

The nose is beautifully layered, opening with fresh green apple, gooseberry, lime zest, and dried herbs, underpinned by crushed stone and flinty smoke. A deeper swirl reveals lily, honeysuckle, and subtle peach. On the palate, the wine is focused and energetic, velvety in texture yet driven by brisk, beautifully integrated acidity. Notes of apricot, pineapple, lychee, and white flowers mingle with a sharp snap of chalky minerality, carrying into a long, floral-tinged finish that reprises its elegant aromatics.

Winemaker’s Background:

Domaine Beauséjour has thrived for five generations in the “King’s Valley,” where the Trotignon family shaped a legacy of thoughtful viticulture anchored in respect for land and tradition. In 2022, stewardship passed to brothers Arnaud and Albéric Lechat, who brought fresh dedication while preserving the estate’s long-held methods. Their 20 hectares, with 12 dedicated to Sauvignon Blanc, are prized for silex soils famously associated with Sancerre, soils that impart unmistakable tension, longevity, and a gunflint signature. With attentive vineyard management, meticulous grape selection, and careful lees work, the estate continues to elevate Touraine’s reputation for purity and character.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 8–10°C (46–50°F). This Sauvignon Blanc shines with moules marinières, chèvre-herb omelets, asparagus salads, grilled poultry, and seared scallops. It also excels as an apéritif, where its minerality and lift show beautifully.

This cuvée stands out for its elegant balance of orchard fruit, florals, and unmistakable flinty character, a Touraine bottling with the soul of a Sancerre. Vibrant, textural, and terroir-driven, it offers remarkable sophistication at an exceptional value.
