Notes about the Montepulciano D’Abruzzo 2014. The Montepulciano D’Abruzzo produced in Abruzzo, Italy has a light to medium purple color in the middle that is a touch cloudy but gets lighter at the rim, maybe even a hint of orangeish color at the rim. The wine has a very nice, light red fruit aroma, with possibly a hint of almost a pancake or waffle smell, and just a touch of sweetness on the nose. The aromas seem to be mostly of ripe red fruit.
This wine is a light bodied wine with a great fruit in the mouth like ripe marachino cherries and strawberries. The acid is light and it’s easy to drink. This is a light and very good enjoyable wine.
